Painted from an old hand-colored photo which belonged to my grandparents, which depicts Crater Lake,showing Wizard Island. My Grandfather used to sit with me and describe the colors of the rocks, and the sparkling quality of the air, how deep the water seemed to be, and so on, until I felt I had actually been at the spot he stood on to take the photo.
