Not For Sale
I love doing these tiny gems. The intense concentration and immediate energy that goes into making them seems to give them a vibrancy that larger paintings sometimes lack. Most of these very small paintings ("pochades") are done either in the ditch next to the road, or from the tail-gate of my truck. I call them my "Whip-overs," because I see a scene I just have to paint, and I "whip over" to the side of the road.
