Dingo came to us after being honorably discharged from the US Military, via Lackland Air Force Base. He was discharged due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament. His knee healed up with a couple of months of therapy, and now it's fine. When he came to us he had a tendency, due to his work, to perceive things as more serious than they really were, but he's a happy-go-lucky boy now, and a very high-energy guy.
NOTE: We lost Dingo in May, 2009. It was sudden and completely unexpected. He had a type of cancer of the blood cells, called Haemangiosarcoma, which strikes many German Shepherd Dogs. It had attacked his spleen, and he showed no sypmtoms at all until 48 hours before his death. Our vet ran some tests, the diagnosis was clear, and the prognosis was that he would not likely survive the necessary spleenectomy, and we let him go. He is missed. |
